Spring news from LABION

Spring has come and has brought exciting scientific events for learning, networking and tightening collaboration!

LABION has started an intense month of meetings with BioNanoMed2018 in Graz (Austria). Andrea Sguassero has presented his thesis work carried out in the framework of an Euronanomed project (NanoPlasmiRNA) about SPRi detection of miRNAs related to Multiple Sclerosis.

Today – 2nd May – LABION and Fondazione Don Gnocchi has welcome a delegation from UPMC to visit our laboratory and the multiple units of our research hospital. This is the first step of a common path towards the collaboration in rehabilitation research and clinics. Tomorrow, the Head of LABION Marzia Bedoni will be at the International Workshop organized by UPMC in Chianciano Terme  (Italy) discussing with clinicians, scientists and researchers of UPMC the roadmap for LABION and UPMC collaboration.

Finally, LABION will be present at ISEV2018 in Barcelona (Spain) presenting recent advances on SPRi detection of brain-derived extracellular vesicles (Picciolini S, OP_ISEV2018) and their characterization by Raman spectroscopy (Gualerzi A, P_ISEV2018).
