On March 5th, 2026, the Fondazione Don Gnocchi hosted a special evening event in Milan entitled “Solidarity for Research. From Donation to Care”, bringing together the Foundation’s main donors and supporters to celebrate the vital alliance between scientific research and philanthropy.
The LABION Group was represented at the event by Dr. Alice Gualerzi, who presented the results of the PRISMA project, funded through the Foundation’s internal competitive grant supported by the 5×1000 tax donation scheme — an important recognition of the project’s scientific value and social impact.
The evening offered an opportunity to showcase how donations are concretely translated into care, innovation, and new therapeutic opportunities.
Several ongoing research projects were presented during the event, spanning areas such as home-based neurological rehabilitation through advanced telerehabilitation technologies, innovative tools for the assessment and treatment of neurological disorders, a Rehabilitation Biobank integrating biological and clinical data, early biomarker identification for chronic respiratory diseases, and early intervention programs for children at neurodevelopmental risk.
The evening reaffirmed a key message: scientific research is a shared journey, made possible by a strong alliance between healthcare institutions, the scientific community, and generous donors.
