Labion@NME25

On May 27th-30th NanoMed Europe conference (NME25) took place in Barcelona, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the European Technology Platform in Nanomedicine (ETPN) and Nanomed Spain.

This congress offered an inspiring program of scientific lectures and sessions focused on the future of nanomedicine and its translation to clinic.

Labion had the opportunity to present different projects involving Raman spectroscopy and Surface Plasmonic Resonance imaging in the poster session and as a flash oral. In particular, we discussed about:

– the analysis of alpha synuclein in extracellular vesicles for early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease

– the analysis of saliva for the stratification of patients with chronic pulmonary respiratory diseases

– the analysis of blood-derived extracellular vesicles to assess the effects of cardiac rehabilitation

Moreover, during the elections of the new Executive Board led, Marzia Bedoni has been reconfirmed as lead of the Working Group Clinical Translation and Furio Gramatica, director of Development and Innovation at Fondazione Don Gnocchi, formerly in the Executive Board since ETPN setup in 2005, has been appointed as vice-Chair of the ETPN!

It was a great pleasure to be part of this beautiful community and congratulations to the organizers for the amazing work!
